EASTERN CARIBBEAN VACATION

A couple of years ago, my family and I went on a cruise for an Eastern Caribbean Vacation. What a fantastic voyage it was! My husband Mike, son James. My sister Mary, sister Shirley, and Shirley’s better half Jay all went. What a wonderful time we had. The Eastern Caribbean was beautiful. The weather was perfect. The ocean was smooth as glass. Well, it was a little choppy when we first started to sail. However, the ship is so huge it barely rocked. It was so relaxing and calming. Our vacation was before we knew about the savings membership. We could have saved a lot of money.

The Ship And Staff:

Our Eastern Caribbean Vacation. The Main stairs with Swarovski crystals.

The ship was Italian from the MSC cruise line The Seashore. They started building her in 2019. It was only 1 year old when we took our cruise in 2022. She is a gorgeous liner. Our stateroom had a balcony and all the amenities. Not to mention the main staircase was made of clear material. And inlaid with Swarovski crystals! It just sparkled! Crystal chandeliers and a Statue of Liberty that was 3 stories high.

There were several fine-dining restaurants. As well as a sports bar. There was also a HUGE buffet area that catered to all tastes. My favorite place was the Chocolate Factory! Yes! They made their own chocolate. And they made statues out of chocolate as well! Did I mention it had jewelry shops? All duty-free! We enjoyed the casino as well. We were winners! I can not say enough about the staff! They were so helpful and kind. From the concierge to the room attendants.

Fun Times Had By All On The Eastern Caribbean:

We sailed during the last of October and the first part of November. During Halloween, the staff went all out to entertain not only the adults. However, the children as well. They taught the adults the dance to Michael Jackson’s song “Thriller”. It was so much fun to watch! The children had even more fun. They were taught the dance to Ghost Busters’ “Who You Gonna Call”. The children were all in costumes. And even some adults dressed up as well. Again the staff was fantastic!

Places Visited on our Eastern Carib Vacation:

Our first stop was in San Juan, Puerto Rico, they had been cleaning up from the latest storm and it looked great. So much to see and do. They have beautiful waterfalls, forts, and an old castle. Not to mention the awesome beaches! There are forests, lighthouses and so much more! I could go on but we have more to go. Next, we went to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. The fine old churches, shopping, and so many sites. They have the Atlantics Darling, which is a cable car. It starts at the bottom of a mountain. And takes passengers up to Mount Isabel de Torres. And to visit its beautiful botanical gardens. On the way down you can see the awesome beaches.

On our Way Home From Eastern Caribbean Vacation:

Ocean Cay Lighthouse on our Eastern Caribbean Vacation.

Next, we went to Nassau, Bahamas, and had lots of shopping to do. There were blue holes to discover. And the lighthouses! Indeed, the people were awesome. There is so much culture to discover. We did not get to even half of it. Next on to Ocean Cay which is owned by the MSC Cruise Line. It is a Marine Reserve. However, You can not pick up shells or disturb rocks. I was dumbfounded at the beauty of the Island. The lighthouse has a light show every night that is set to music. Awesome. The next stop was Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas. There are animal encounters and aquariums. Not to mention jewelry stores! Historic churches, and in addition jewelry stores. Oh, I already mentioned that, didn’t I? It is such a beautiful Island.

I know we did not get to see much as we had to board our ship. However, what we did get to see was awesome. The people were so kind and entertaining. Yes, we definitely want to go again on another Eastern Caribbean Vacation. To be able to see the many different cultures and hear the different languages was so interesting. Furthermore, have I mentioned all the jewelry stores?
